Project Monkey Wrench: "THE WOLF" NPC Concept, Design, Orthographic

Welcome to Project Monkey Wrench.
Project Monkey Wrench is a portfolio project designed for the expressed Reason of demonstrating the types of work I was responsible for as a senior character designer for the game industry.
Due to non disclosure agreements I can not share any artwork or designs I have created for these projects. While not making direct reference to the work created for previous game projects, Monkey Wrench is a guided tour through the process and skills used during the making of said projects. Starting from initial character design and development, character styling, Key prop design, full character orthographics, alternate wardrobe design, character poses, character actions, character expressions and Key character art.

THE WOLF.
The second in a group of 2 NPC assistant characters to “The Boy” the protagonist. "The wolf" possesses great strength and speed. And can assist traversal, puzzle solving and combat.
The Wolf is the age old cautionary tale that people will always take you by eye but we can always work beyond the visual. you can not help what people see but you can affect perception by your actions. Some may see a monster, others may see a loyal friend.

Orthographic Line:
During the process of creating orthographic concepts I found that for stylized projects some 3D modelers preferred line art to work from. It was expressed that it was easier to see stylistic landmarks

Underbody design.
Being this character is meant to have alternate wardrobes, a full under body drawing was created. The darker areas on the arms, neck and shins represent a farmer's tan. Along with this line art a full painted underbody.
