Welcome to Project Monkey Wrench.
Project Monkey Wrench is a portfolio project designed for the expressed Reason of demonstrating the types of work I was responsible for as a senior character designer for the game industry.
Due to non disclosure agreements I can not share any artwork or designs I have created for these projects. While not making direct reference to the work created for previous game projects, Monkey Wrench is a guided tour through the process and skills used during the making of said projects. Starting from initial character design and development, character styling, Key prop design, full character orthographics, alternate wardrobe design, character poses, character actions, character expressions and Key character art.
THE BOY.
The Boy is the main protagonist for this: what would be a 3D action adventure title. He possesses a Giant hammer style Monkey Wrench which is a tool for interaction, whether that be traversal, puzzle solving and attack. In our world some would call the boy a free range child, one who prefers to discover the world on his own. Wiser than his years he carries More than just the weight of his wrench. He lives in a world framed by others and hopes to one day free himself but first he must ensure the well being of those that depend on him. Despite the weight he doesn't wear it on his face and remains a fun loving curios child.
